It is a noticeably thicker, stronger weave built to resist claws and the weight of a dog or cat leaning on it. It is not indestructible, but it lasts far longer than standard mesh in a home with pets.
It is slightly darker than standard mesh, but you keep a clear outward view and plenty of airflow. Most people do not notice the difference from inside.
If pets use your screens, yes — replacing torn standard mesh again and again usually costs more than upgrading once.
